This years wreaths

Well, this year Thom wanted Blue, White, and Silver as the Christmas colors. I have never liked blue for Christmas but here in the all too warm sunny Texas fall and winter it might make me feel cooler. Here are the 1st two things to get finished. Not my normal style but full and fun.

I just can't stop!!!

One last item for the craft show tomorrow. I saw these on Pinterest and....
It got me thinking I could make holly leaves for christmas. so I got some felt, only enought to make 12 coaster as it turned out. I was thinking I could get 3 to a felt sheet but I only got two.

mischief of mice

For some reason I got the date, well day,  wrong and the date right...I was thinking the show was Friday the 19th, No! I was at the show 24 hours early...it is Saturday the 19th....I laughed at myself all the way home.  So I went a purchased a few more supplies and made a mischief of mice. ( looked up what a group of mice is called)

Craft Show

Well this month I have been working hard to make money for Christmas. I have a very dear friend who is doing a craft show/bake sale and I got to thinking I have lots of things I have made and I can make more with 2 weeks notice and the help of Pinterest.. As a sewer and craft and quilt artist and....I have all kind of stuff to make other stuff out of. My goal was to SPEND NO MONEY. I almost did it, I may have spent $15 total of a few little things. So here are the fruits of my labors.
8 table runners, 9 snowmen, 1 penguin and 32 butterfly kisses (pic to come)
I am also sell baby crochet blankets, baby, kid, and lap quilts.

Made two of these as I made too many by mistake

Last year I cut out 71 stockings
and from some reason I never sewed
them so this is 71 stockings ready for sale.

My Fav Table Runner.

And 9 snow men and one orginal designed penguin (I crocheted the hat).

Series

Hello All.

Ok no more promises. I will post as I have new work or new interiors to show off.

Here are two new works.:

The first are 5 little 6" quilts I did while I was doing my quilt-a-day series. They are linked with seed and bugle beads. Fused cotton with warn and natural batting.

The second I will do into a little more detail with. The base fabric (crackle) I printed using a flour resist and acrylic paint. After the work of printing the crackle printing the fabric was so distorted I need to cut it down to get it to lay flat. So I cut it. The red panels in the center is hand dyed cotton batting. The bead work is my famous aluminum can punches with red seed beads which have been tied in the front for a different look. The red rays are fused cotton fabrics, one of which is an over dry of a UGLY multi-color print. The three image section were quilted secretly and then fused to the base fabric (black). Then the base fabric (black) was quilted. I added hand stitching between the panels and French knots in the corners. I let this piece take me were ever it wanted to go. I know this is more so how I want to work, a looser and freer style, more abstract.

Five in Black and White:
All Cotton.
6" x 33.5"

Cracked in the Center:
Cotton commercial, hand dyed and over dry commercial fabric,
glass and aluminum beads, and cotton embroidery thread.
43.5" x 27"
